VERIFICATIONS INC BRINGS 150 JOBS TO MANDAN
7/16/2004 - Verifications Inc., a Minneapolis business that provides third-party background checks and drug screenings, will open an office in Mandan, ND next Spring. The company expects to bring at least 150 jobs to the city and could eventually expand to 250 employees.
Verifications serves more than 4,000 clients, including several Fortune 50 and Fortune 100 companies. In addition to Minneapolis, the company has facilities in Watertown and Aberdeen, South Dakota. Verifications also owns Live Response, a substance abuse-testing firm in Bismarck.
A 20,000-square-foot building will be constructed in the northwest part of Mandan. The facility will be expandable to 30,000 square feet.
Employment at Verifications will range from clerical positions and data-entry clerks to verifiers and client-service representatives. Most employees are expected to earn salaries in the "twenty-thousands" range, but others could make between $60,000 and $75,000 a year. Some entry-level positions will start at about $18,000 per year.
Company CEO and President, Curt Marks cites people as their most important focus, adding that North Dakota was the obvious place for his company to expand.
