Employee Turnover Rates

Nationwide, employee turnover rates of 20-30 percent are not only common, they are often an expected cost of doing business.  Imagine locating your company in a state where employee turnover rates higher than 15 percent are cause for concern.  Imagine locating your company in a state where employers may not track turnover because it’s not an issue, much less a line item.

In a 2003 labor availability study, 70.5 percent of the employers responding reported a turnover rate less than 10 percent.

Take a look at these examples:

Company  Turnover
Bobcat (mfg.) less than 1% (salaried employees)
Imation (mfg.)  3.9%
Unisys (bus. svcs.) 11%

Hire an employee in North Dakota and you get loyalty.  This loyalty transfers into a more highly skilled, efficient workforce for your company.
