North Dakota Roots Program
Job opportunities and careers are critical, but for most of us owning a home and establishing roots in a community are very much a part of our American dream. Helping new and returning North Dakotans achieve their American Dream is the goal of the North Dakota Roots homeownership incentive pilot program.

Offered through the North Dakota Housing Finance Agency (NDHFA), the North Dakota Roots program is a homeownership incentive program intended to assist primary sector employers in attracting new employees from outside North Dakota. The incentive is either an interest rate reduction on a first mortgage or downpayment and closing cost assistance.

ND Education Loan Forgiveness Programs
The North Dakota state legislature has created two loan forgiveness programs through the ND University System. These programs were developed in order to fill certain skill areas where labor force shortages exist, or, where the state sought to grow a more sophisticated workforce.

The two progams are: the Teacher Shortage Loan Forgiveness Program, and
the Technology Occupations Student Loan Forgiveness Program.

You can learn more about these programs and other ND Higher Education financial assistance programs by clicking the link below.
